~Almost~ 24 hours in Bentonville, Arkansas

We had the opportunity to swing through Bentonville, Arkansas for the night explore the area. Bentonville Bike Camp- Hipcamp had availability so we stayed at the cutest little A-Frame for the night. Their lodging is dog friendly and they have several A-Frames as well as a large field for folks with Camper Vans, tents, etc. They also have a new toilet and hot shower facility and fresh water on site, as well as a bike wash station. I would highly recommend camping or “Glamping” there if you are ever passing through or vacationing in Bentonville.

Pro Tip: Always bring an extra sheet or blanket if your pup is going to be on the furniture. It’s the courteous thing to do! I also bring a lint/dog hair roller.

We arrived to Bentonville Bike Camp and settled in for a bit before heading into town and walking along the Razorback Greenway. Mountain Bike trails weave in and around the Greenway and it was full of people enjoying the warm evening. Birch got a lot of attention on our walk, including a shout out from Bentonville Animal Services who apparently loves WPGs. We eventually reached The Hub Bike Lounge for dinner. You order at the counter so Birch was allowed to join me inside for a few minutes and then we sat outide on the patio. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos and a frozen “Hubarita” with tajin. I eat A LOT of tacos and these were the best I’ve had in a very long time…maybe ever. So delicious!

After dinner we walked back to the car and headed back to “The Stingray”, our little home for the night. The A-Frame had air conditioning and a very cute electric “wood stove” heater for comfort. It ended up being a chilly night so the heater came in handy. We woke up to the sun rising over the field in front of our big picture window.

I took a very quick ride on a green loop on the ‘Back 40″ biking trails that morning and then went in to town for coffee and breakfast. A friend had recommended Onyx Coffee Lab so I went by there and ordered a Salt Mocha and Avocado Toast “Make it Brunch”. Both were delicious and well worth the wait!

Before I turn this into a full food blog, that wrapped up our quick stay in Bentonville! We had a great experience and found it very dog friendly. It would be fun to go back and hit more of the mountain bike trails another time!
